August 1-2, 2009. Join us for a weekend of celebration. Olympic Cellars was the first winery on the peninsula and is the 15th winery still in business in Washington. Our founder Gene Neuharth operated the winery from 1979-1992 and we are releasing a commemorative wine “Neuharth’s Legacy” (2007 Cabernet Sauvignon blend) in his honor.
Charity Poker
Sunday 3:00pm
We will re-enactment Gene’s weekly poker game. Seven Cedars Casino has graciously provided "The Game" with one of their expert poker dealers. The winery will make a donation in Gene’s memory, which will seed the “pot”.
Lots of Gene's original poker buddies will be at the table and players can buy in for a small donation and play a couple of hands. The entire winnings of all players will be donated to a charity picked by Maria Neuharth in memory of Gene. Also, Maria is going to fix Stuffed Grape Leaves (Greek Dolmades) which is what she used to make for Gene's Poker Games.
