It is easy to add this self guided wine tour to your Lavender Festival experience. The wineries will all be open from 11-5 from Friday, July 10th through Sunday, July 18th. You can visit the wineries in any order, over a ten-day period. Visit as many or as few as you wish or purchase a special Lavender Festival Tour of Wineries ticket and the commemorative wine glass for just $25.00 and receive complimentary wine tastings at each winery. Festival participants, with buttons, are just $13. (You don’t have to have a ticket to visit the wineries. All are open and you can pay the individual tasting fees of $5 at the wineries you visit.)
The wine tour kicks-off the Olympic Peninsula’s 13th annual Lavender Festival in Sequim, set to take place July 10-18. The festival is the largest lavender event in North America, attracting visitors from around the world each year. Olympic Peninsula Wineries will be featured in the Wine & Beer Garden during the Festival Street Fair, with wines available for tasting and for purchase by the glass or by the bottle. The Street Fair will take place in downtown Sequim, on Fir Street between Sequim and Third Avenues. Those with time to drive the self-guided Lavender Wine Tour will enjoy wine paired with lavender in different ways, while experiencing the warm hospitality for which the wineries are known. Following are a few tour highlights.
Visit all seven wineries and enter the drawing for a beautiful gift basket of local lavender products. Each winery is unique… from location to ambiance of tasting room and style of wines. Winemakers will offer special pricing on featured wines.
Tickets are Available Now
Tickets are limited and available on a first come basis. Ticket price is $25.00 per person and includes a special commemorative wine glass and complimentary wine tasting at each winery. Reservations are available in advance at www.olympicpeninsulawineries.org, at the Sequim Chamber of Commerce (beginning July 6th) or by calling us at 1-800-785-5495. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door of the wineries during the event on a first come basis. A ticket is not required but there is $5 tasting fee at all wineries for non-ticket holders.
Wine and Beer Garden
Be sure and visit us at the Wine & Beer Garden at the Festival Street Fair during the Lavender Festival July 16-18, 2010. The Street Fair is located in downtown Sequim at the south end of the food court, close to the performance stage and the buses for the farm tours. A selection of two wines from each winery will be available for tasting, by the glass or to purchase by the bottle.
