Join Olympic Cellars during the Northwest Wine & Cheese Tour for a magical bovine experience.
Cheese is Bovine Magic!
In our cellar, we will be hosting Golden Glen Creamery of Bow, Washington on Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, 15th. Sample delicious cheese paired with Olympic Cellars’ wines.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (Kathy’s favorite) will be paired with Golden Glen’s double-cream cheddar, River Cheddar, their signature cheese. They add extra cream to their already outstanding milk to create an extraordinarily rich cheese. This cheese and our new-release Cabernet together create a very special synergy.
Long- time Golden Glen 
associate, Jeremy Kindlund will sample a wonderful assortment of cheeses while educating guests on wine and cheese pairing, making cheese, and how to serve cheese.
The cellar will be decorated with Magical Bovines, painted by our own artist in residence, Kristi Knowles. This will be the perfect place to Sip Wine – Say Cheese and participate in the Wine Tour’s photo contest.
Local Chef, Dave Long of Ovenspoonful will create for us a scrumptious, Wine and Cheese soup. He will begin by roasting garlic and onion, which he will add to a roux base. Then pounds of Golden Glen Cheddar and bottles of Olympic Cellars Chardonnay 2009 will transform into a velvety, soup, garnished with savory, Italian-herbed, focaccia bread croutons. All to be sampled with local artisan bread and creamery butter from Golden Glen. Try it with our Chardonnay!
