love Love LOVE Red Wine... When you think about this annual event, Red Wine & Chocolate, we use the word "love" in every sentence as we describe it... love red wine, love decadent chocolate, love going to different wineries, love the people you're with, love the Peninsula in February!

This year we’ll take you to a French Cafe... a vibrant gathering place in our cellar. Of course there will be great wine and chocolates but it just wouldn't be the same without warm chocolate croissants and aromatic coffee.

As you enter the cellar visualize a street in Paris. Next to the Café de Paris you will find a shop for hats "Un Chapelier", a few doors down a photographic studio "Le Petit Studio". In front of the Café a street artist is sketching the couple who only have eyes for each other.

The Café is bustling... warm with the smell of chocolate and coffee... wine is being tasted and admired. Glasses are clinking.

New to Sequim from France, Tauran studied graphic design in Bordeaux, working as such for 2 decades, before deciding to move to Sequim to follow his passion, fine art photography.  Exhibited throughout Provence, Tauran’s inspirations include American photographers Dennis Hopper, Walker Evans and Ansel Adams, as well as the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula.

Phil is an artist with a camera as his medium. His canvas has been France and now is the Peninsula. This is a very special opportunity to be photographed by Phil as he starts is new business in Sequim.

Each guest will receive a list of all wines, with the chocolate and food pairing notes upon arrival.  

We will be serving a variety of custom chocolates paired specially with wine tastes.  The chocolatiers will have information on source and preparation of the chocolates, will offer samples and have chocolate available for purchase.

Chocolatier Yvonne Yokota has long been interested in the subject of chocolate.  She would like it to become general knowledge that chocolate is like fine wine … cocoa from different regions can have as distinct a flavor as wines created from grapes coming from one area.  In fact, some of the same terms to describe wines, such as fruity, acidic, and smoky are used to describe chocolates from different origins.  yvonneschocolates@gmail.com, Or phone – 360-683-6480

TICKETS
A Red Wine & Chocolate Tour Ticket is not required to visit the wineries but there is $5 fee to participate at each winery. 

Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 800-785-5495. Ticket and glass packages will also be sold on the days of the event at the participating wineries and are available on a first come basis. The $30 ticket and glass package entitles you to a special commemorative wine glass, complimentary wine tasting and delectable samples of chocolate at each winery during the Red Wine & Chocolate Weekends. Have your ticket stamped at all 7 wineries and be eligible to enter our gift basket drawing.
